Dry Rot
Why does it occur?
Dry Rot (Serpula Lacrymans) will only occur when the conditions are right for the spores to germinate. Moisture levels of between 20 - 25% are necessary for a dry rot outbreak to become established. Dry rot is a living organism and has the ability to feed itself, "it is the cancer of buildings."
How do we treat it?
Dry rot is far more serious than a wet rot attack as the complete area around the attack requires to be stripped out, i.e. floor, walls, plasterwork. Martin Property Care h
