Damp Proofing Image

What causes it?

Rising damp occurs when the foundations of building draws moisture up from the surrounding ground by capillary action.

How do we treat it?

This can be successfully treated by different methods of damp proofing. Either by chemically injecting a damp proof course or by electro osmosis method. It is often necessary to strip affected plaster from walls to be treated as this is contaminated with ground salts or hygroscopic salts, which would continue to attract moisture. Plaster membranes are also fitted to affected areas to help the drying out process for redecoration purposes.damp proofing logo
