Dry rot

Why does it occur?

Dry Rot (Serpula Lacrymans) will only occur when the conditions are right for the spores to germinate. Moisture levels of between 20 - 25% are necessary for a dry rot outbreak to become established. Dry rot is a living organism and has the ability to feed itself, "it is the cancer of buildings."

How do we treat it?

Dry rot is far more serious than a wet rot attack as the complete area around the attack requires to be stripped out, i.e. floor, walls, plasterwork. Martin Property Care hdry rot as experience of treating dry rot in properties of all sizes.
