Wet Rot Wood Image

What causes it?

Wet Rot (Corriophora Puteana) will only occur when there are high moisture levels present, i.e. a continuous source, e.g. a leaking pipe.

How do we treat it?

In all cases of fungal attack, a moisture source is essential to the survival of the fungus. It is therefore vital that the cause of such an attack is identified by a qualified surveyor and that the necessary repairs to the affected timbers are carried out.
